Help Shane Wakley kick cancer you know where

Donation protected
4 weeks ago, Shane called an ambulance due to severe back pain. After having numerous tests, it was discovered that there was a tumour in his chest, which had crushed 3 vertebrae. At this stage, the tumour is being diagnosed as stage 4 metastatic germ cell tumour (cancer). To relieve the back pain and strengthen the spine, Shane had surgery to inject bone cement into the vertebrae. His chemo treatment commenced on Wednesday 10th May, with the initial chemo treatment to go for 4 months. Shane was made redundant by his employer last year but was able to obtain work as a contractor. Unfortunately, as he is a contractor, he is not entitled to annual leave or sick leave. He has also now become aware that his income protection insurance ceased when he was made redundant. Shane’s wife, Steph, is a full-time carer of their youngest daughter, Evie, who has the highest level of severe autism. So for the past month and at least the next 3 months, they will have no income coming in to support the family. We get through tough times in life with the support of the loved ones we surround ourselves with. Any funds we can raise to assist this beautiful family get through this tough time will be greatly appreciated.
