Help Shanell Graduate from Howard

Hello all,

Thank you so much for reading. My name is Shanell Holback, I am a graduating senior, Journalism major, Political Science minor at Howard University.

As I write this I am about to present the work I have done as a journalist here at Howard and attend my last class before becoming a graduate. I am so proud of this moment but It is biter-sweet as I am currently not able to attend my graduation ceremony due to a past due tuition balance.

My heart is shattered due to this devastating news because I worked incredibly hard to get here. As it stands, I have maxed out all federal funding and the financial aid office cannot help me any further. I have applied to numerous scholarships as well and have not heard back. Unfortunately, my remaining balance is $6047 and I only have a few more days to settle this payment.
