Help Shanker & family to rebuild their life

We are reaching out to share devastating news about our dear friend Shanker and his family. Recently, tragedy struck their home, leaving them in a state of profound loss and desperation.

In a cruel twist of fate, a raging fire consumed Shanker's house, mercilessly destroying everything they owned. The flames spared nothing, reducing the cherished memories and possessions accumulated over 17 years living in the house to ashes. Shanker, his wife, and their three children and their puppy are now grappling with the harsh reality of homelessness, their lives turned upside down overnight.

Shankerganesh Krishnamoorthy’s family consists of his wife and three children at different stages of their lives – a high schooler (17 yrs old) eagerly anticipating the start of college this year, a middle-schooler (13 years old) navigating the challenges of adolescence, a toddler (2 years old) still taking their first steps in the world and a puppy (3 yrs old). This tragedy has left them without a roof over their heads and with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

The emotional toll on Shanker and his family is immeasurable, and their immediate needs are overwhelming. The trauma of witnessing their home and possessions reduced to ashes is compounded by the uncertainty of what the future holds. As friends who have shared joyous moments with Shanker and his family, it is heartbreaking to witness them endure such hardship.
