Help Shannon from Heads Up with goalie injury
Donation protected
Shannon is the goalie on team Heads Up. She blocked a hard shot at our last game and broke her wrist in three places. Over the next few weeks it will require more xrays, possible MRI, possible surgery and likely therapy.
We often don't know the situation others are in but when we learned she is a single mom of 3 with no support from her ex-husband, was recently laid off and currently has no medical insurance, we knew as a team we had to help her get through this. She is looking into the Cobra offered by her former employer, but that too is very expensive. It would be nice if we could collect enough so she could reinstate her cobra to cover this injury. Or if not, at least help with some of her bills.
From our coach, "I am sharing again that I recruited Shannon from a “Nextdoor” app post looking for a Goalie. After the second post she responded and we connected. I am sure you have seen and she has shared that joining Heads Up has been such a joy for her. That Sunday games are for “her” and have helped her mental and physical health. She is so grateful to find such a caring group of ladies."
We are asking for a donation of $10, $20, $25 or more if you can/want; what ever you feel comfortable with in helping Shannon out. If we all can contribute just a little, it can add up to be a big help for her. We'd like to get her the money in the next week or two.
Thank you,
Team Heads Up
