Help support Shannon ‘Turkish Delight’ Ross

To all family, friends, teammates and fans of Shannon ‘Turkish Delight’ Ross I'm asking for your help.

Shannon and I are the last people to ask for help but unfortunately due to some extreme unforeseen circumstances after his recent fight in Abu Dhabi we are in desperate need to try raise some extra funds.

The past week has been by far the most stressful and mentally exhausting weeks of my life. Circumstances changed quickly for Shannon and Darcy and having to deal with that, plus being here on my own with the four kids, trying to work, parent and get through each day with this added stress has almost broken me. And for people who know me it takes a lot to get me to that point. I can’t even begin to imagine how Shannon and Darcy have  felt, and they still need to quarantine upon return into the country. The quarantine cost was something we always expected but the lead up to that point was definitely not.

On top of this many of you would not know that Shan already took 8 weeks off work total in lead up to this fight, as he has done 3 back to back fight camps for this one fight due to opponent injuries, opponent changes etc.

Financially we budgeted for the time off in order for him to prepare for what was one of the biggest fights in his career. It has been the unexpected costs post fight that has now now left us in a situation where we need to ask for the help from our friends and family to raise some funds.


Fighting is truely a love sport until you make it to the top level. The pay you get for that 15 minutes in the cage doesn’t come close to covering expenses in the lead up, preparation and post fight, let alone when something like this happens. We all know the risks that comes as a fighter and by no means are we asking for anything if it was within our control.


As you know Shannon would never personally ask for any help but it would mean the world to us if you could help us out in the lead up to Christmas with these unforeseen expenses occurring over he last week.
