Help Shannon Hunter's Family in Their Time of Need

This GoFundMe has been created with the permission of Shannon Hunter's children (Lauren Hall, Paige Hall, and Ethan Parker) to help cover funeral costs and support the family with any other unexpected costs.

Shannon Hunter unexpectedly passed away on the morning of March 2, 2025, at the very young age of 48. Her children—Lauren, Paige, and Ethan (Cassidy)—are devastated, to say the least. No child should have to bury their mother at such a young age. If you had the pleasure of meeting Shannon, you would know that her children and her grandchildren were her entire world, as she was theirs too.

Her children together best described their mom: "Shannon was more than just a mother—she was a sister, an aunt, a niece, a gammie, and a friend to so many. She gave her whole heart to everyone she met, always putting others before herself, always giving—even when she had nothing left to give."

Shannon was a dedicated employee at H.P. Starr Lumber Company. She previously worked at Sprankles in Leechburg and Coen on Route 8. Shannon was always volunteering as she was once a Girl Scout Leader and was also previously involved with Deer Lakes High School Band as well as Deer Lakes Hockey Club. She was always involved and giving of her time and her efforts to others.

Her girls are understandably shocked by this loss and unfortunately not prepared for all that goes along with planning and funding a funeral at this time. Her youngest is still in high school and is expected to graduate in June from Deer Lakes High School. Her girls want to give their "mummy" a proper and well-deserved burial. All contributions will be used for funeral costs and to support her family. If you can find it in your heart to donate, it would be so appreciated.
