Help Sharayah become an herbalist!

Hi, my name is Sharayah (pronounced like a Ray of Sunshine) and I'm raising $3,850 to assist with tuition for Cecemmana Herbalist Training at Ancestral Arts Apothecary!

My goal of becoming an herbalist has stemmed from my own experiences of dealing with eczema, Graves disease (hyperthyroidism) and Cat Scratch Disease (Bartonella, which is a co-infection of Lyme disease). For over five years, I suffered and struggled with finding doctors who actually believed something was going on with me. I fought with what little strength I had to push for testing that I knew I needed and to be seen by physicians who would truly hear me. As I conducted my own "homework and research" and pushed through my ailments, I began to acquire a long list of family members and friends who were suddenly becoming ill, some of them terminally. It was during this time, that I was introduced to a holistic health specialist who changed my life!

My specialist recommended I go on a raw fruit and vegetable diet while sticking to a strict herbal protocol. These recommendations gave me my life back, they gave my kids their mother back and they gave my husband his wife back. Even though I am still on a road to recovery, I can honestly say that I feel the best I've felt in over five years. I know that I owe my turnaround with health to plant medicine.

Based on my personal experience, I have become a true believer in plant medicine and the healing arts. I believe that BIPOC individuals and communities do not have to suffer the medical trauma of certain systems that have been put in place. The Earth has given us what we need and it's up to us to nurture, cultivate, and administer it accordingly. It is my goal that through obtaining this education, I can further give back to my family, friends and the communities I serve in a deeper, more holistic and equitable way.
