Help Shari Weinick Rebuild After the Pacific Palisades Fire

I am writing to share some heart-breaking news about our long-time colleague and friend, Shari Weinick. Last night, Shari likely lost everything in the devastating Pacific Palisades fire, including the building she lived in for over 30 years and her beloved cat. We are waiting on final confirmation from authorities on the extent of damages, but Shari has heard from neighbors living in her building who walked back today to see the structure and reported that it was a total loss. Tragically, she was only able to escape while the building was on fire with the clothes on her back and is currently in a distraught state. To make matters worse, we learned Shari doesn’t have insurance to assist her with this crisis.

Thankfully, Shari made it out alive and safely. We have set up a GoFundMe page to assist Shari during this incredibly challenging time and hopefully offset some of the major losses she’s experiencing. The funds from this fundraiser will go towards immediate needs first such as clothes, daily essentials, and other living expenses. Long term goals are to help with the housing transition along with replacing some of the larger possessions lost.
