Help Sharon Beat HER Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Friends, I am reaching out on behalf of my first cousin and one of my very first friends, Sharon Browning Boykin. On January 17th, 2020 her families life changed dramatically. She received devastating news that she has an aggressive form of breast cancer, to which it is extremely difficult to treat. Above is a Boykin Family photo, my cousin Sharon, her husband Andy, and their kids Abby and little Andy.
Sharon and Andy have spent their 20 years of marriage building a family and raising exceptional teenagers; Abby age 19, and Andy 15. Andy is self-employed and Sharon has spent the last 15 years working in Child and Family Services and currently serves as a supervisor in Child Protective Services.
Sharon, 47 years old is passionate, about God, her family, and the work of saving children from abuse.
On January 17th Sharon was diagnosed with stage-2 “ HER triple negative” breast cancer. Her treatment process is expected to be at least 12 months, including 6 months of chemo followed by surgery, then radiation.
Those who know Sharon know she's a fighter, she has a positive outlook, and I have no doubt that she, with the help of God and her doctors will beat this!
"I'm thankful for my relationship with Christ and know I’m not in this alone and that he is with me through all of this. I'm also thankful for my husband, kids, and mother for their support with all this. I’m thankful for the many survivors who have reached out to me with there stories and support, church families who have added me to their prayer list, family who have shown support."
Anyone reading this who has had a family member battle cancer knows, that Sharon and her family have a long road ahead of them fighting this disease. The financial burden can add up quickly and put added stress on a family already struggling. This account has been set up to help ease the financial burden and the stress that medical expenses will have on Sharon and her family. We are hoping to raise money to not only go toward medical expenses but to also allow Andy to not have to choose between working and being with Sharon when she needs him most. Those who know Andy know that he is a life long roofer and will help anyone when they have a need.
I ask you to give a gift of love to this precious family, and your continued support. I am also asking that you share this page on social media to have your friends and family stand with our family in this crucial time. And finally, most importantly I ask for your deepest prayers.
You can also donate by mailing a check made payable to Sharon Boykin directly to:
