Help Sharon Fight Cancer

Our loving mother Sharon, was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with Squamous Carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. In her case, the cancer has attacked her tongue and is at a Stage 3 or 4. Her surgery is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd and will require her to be hospitalized for at least 2-3 weeks since removal of 85% of her tongue and insertion of a trach and feeding tube will take place. Promptly following surgery, chemo and radiation therapies will begin. Once her mouth has healed and she has completed approximately 8 weeks of treatments, a second surgery will be performed to remove fatty tissue from her thighs and make her a tongue, which will be followed by months of grueling therapy in the hopes that she will regain full use of her tongue. Unfortunately, our mother does not have insurance, Medicaid or any source of medical benefits to support her in this long battle. She has been the sole provider for herself and my stepfather, Sam (who is also at a Stage 4 with Prostate cancer and partially blind from a recent stroke).  With a long road ahead of them financially, mentally and physically, your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated.  Whether it’s $1, $2, $3… or whatever amount you can help her with, it would be tremendously appreciated. If you’re not able to help with donations, a simple word of prayer is ALWAYS welcomed and very much needed.
