Help Sharon Kaye heal from cancer

Hi, we are setting up this fundraiser for our Mum, who was diagnosed with bladder cancer in July 2021. Through a series of failings by doctors, the diagnosis has worsened, making her efforts and this appeal more pressing.

 

The last eight months have been a long journey of discovery, research and perseverance. As most of you will know, our mum, Sharon Kaye, has been a pillar of support to us, our family and everyone she knows. She has worked within care and nutrition throughout her life, always helping people live out their lives comfortably or healing chronic health problems some faced. She eventually set up her own business providing private care within the local community to improve the quality of care people received and has helped countless people along the way. Unfortunately, the company became unsustainable late last year when a manager and supervisor left without working notice, taking a number of other staff members with them while Sharon was in hospital undergoing surgery.

 

The scenario above has led to her current situation, whereby she no longer has a source of income whilst struggling to heal herself during her journey with cancer. Sharon is doing everything she can to work through this time and use this as an opportunity for growth and healing. She has seen an integrative oncologist who has run various tests and helped find the cause of the tumour growth and work at reducing the cancer cells within her body and the issues that may have caused the cancer cells to grow and take hold in the first place. She has embarked on this journey with such bravery and determination, but the detoxing, off label medications and supplements she needs to take to heal are very expensive. Implementing this regime is also very time-consuming and research-intensive.

 

The goal amount would go towards helping her pay doctors bills, get the supplements and medications she needs, and eat a clean and healthy diet for 12 months. She also needs to purchase some equipment such as a juicer, infrared lamps and a filter. It may not cover everything, but we hope it will help her not have to worry about maintaining the regime she needs to be on to heal. Every donation helps even if it is only a few pounds; we don't necessarily have to reach that goal but gofundme want one set and we think this amount would help her to continue with less stress and more support.

 

Sharon has always been there to offer support both physically and financially when people are in need. Even now, she is using her newfound knowledge to help others who have received a cancer diagnosis (My partner's mum included) and aims to go back into nutrition and health coaching to help others beat cancer in the future! Our mum has been an incredible source of support to us over the years, so we are setting up this gofundme to return the favour so that we can all show her how loved and supported she is during this difficult time.
