Help Shawn Amos Rebuild

Shawn's business originated in the community as "Shawn's on Broadway" in 1993. This hair salon faithfully served the community and its people until 2009. It was a space for friends, family, and community members to come and spend time together laughing and chatting as they got their hair styled. After the hair salon closed the building sat vacant for a few years as Shawn brain stormed new business ventures. Around 2012 he decided to start the long process of converting the space into commercial real estate so that other young community entrepreneurs have the chance to lease the space and bring their own business ideas to life. Shawn spent the next few years renovating and upgrading the building to his standards. Some of the tenants that leased the space throughout the years used it as office space and barber shops. Metro PCS the telecommunications company has leased the building for the last three years and were the tenants when the looting and vandalism took place on 5/28.

Shawn's commercial real estate was LOOTED,  VANDALIZED and DESTROYED 5/28/2020. This black-owned business is left trying to pick up the pieces amidst mourning with the community.

Anything you can donate to start the rebuild process will be a blessing. We thank you so much for your time.
