Help Shawn Fight Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

On January 3, 2025, our beloved Shawn Middleton received a life-changing diagnosis: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Just one day later, he was admitted to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he remains under expert care. Shawn’s battle is only beginning, and he faces a long, challenging road ahead. His treatment will include a lengthy hospital stay and months of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. He has fought cancer before, beating testicular cancer 8 years ago, and we are confident he can do it again.

Shawn is a proud lifelong resident of Woburn, MA. His commitment to his family and community has always been central to who he is. Shawn has also spent over 25 years in the healthcare communications field, working tirelessly to support healthcare initiatives for others. Now, Shawn, Sandy (his loving wife), and their two children—Connor, a 19-year-old college sophomore, and Kayla, a 17-year-old high school senior—are in need of our support.

The financial burden of Shawn’s treatment is significant. While he fights this disease with strength and courage, his family will be facing mounting costs, including significant copays for ongoing treatments and medications combined with the anticipated loss of income during Shawn’s extended recovery period.

We are humbly asking for your help to raise $60,000 to cover these costs and ensure Shawn can focus entirely on his recovery without additional financial stress.
