Help Shawn Gordon Cover Funeral Costs

I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my good friend, Shawn Gordon. Her husband, Rob, unexpectedly passed away on Aug. 31st.

Rob was a United States Veteran. After his Army years, he worked for the USPS.

He worked hard and as much overtime as he could to provide and care for his family.

Last November, Rob was diagnosed with throat cancer. During his chemotherapy and radiation, he was unable to work. He fought long and hard and won his battle against cancer. Praise be to GOD! However, during his cancer fight, he depleted everything in their savings account just to pay the bills.

Rob was still cancer-free at his last PET scan in July.

He became ill and was admitted to St. Francis via the emergency room on Aug. 26th, where he spent his last 7 days in the MICU until his unexpected passing.

Unfortunately, Rob had no 401K or life insurance. His wife, Shawn, has been a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for the last 33 years.

Since our beloved Rob is no longer with us, ALL funds coming into the household no longer exist.

Rob was my best friend, and I'm hoping that with our help, we can raise enough money to help cover the funeral costs. Any extra funds will be used to pay rent, bills, and any other necessary things his family might need.

Rob had the absolute best outlook on life, and his personality was just magical. He loved hard, and everyone loved him just as much.
