Help Shawn pay his surgery bill!

As many people know, I received top surgery (double mastectomy) in May 2019. At the time, I was using COBRA insurance through my previous job at Willy Street Co-op. Because of late payment, they cancelled my coverage at the end of May (after my surgery), effective May 1st (before my surgery). I went through the formal appeal process, explaining what happened, taking ownership for the late payment, and outlining how dire my situation would be were my appeal rejected. Their HR department rejected my appeal without being giving a reason why, which means that the entire cost of my top surgery has to be paid out of pocket. If you're able to help me cover this, please do. If you can't give, please consider sharing this with those who can and may be willing to. This surgery has significantly improved my quality of life in every way, and I can't exactly undo it, so coming up with the money is my only option.
