On Saturday, 9/5/2020, was the yearly Racine Jam that is always looked forward to by so many in the BMX community.  Unfortunately, this day is also the day my brother, Shawn Arata, took a nasty fall from an approximate 14 feet high wall landing straight on his feet.   This fall caused 3 fractures in each of his heels in which he will be needing surgery once the swelling goes down.  

Not only has this injury rendered him unable to walk but he will not be able to work for at least the next 2 months while he heals.  Here in lies our problem, since he is a master carpenter there is no way he will be able to work and be able to provide for himself financially.

I would love to be able to raise at least $2,000 for him so he will not have the additional stress of bills on his mind while he needs to focus on recovering.  I am unsure of the exact medical costs at this point, but being in the hospital for 3 nights, x-rays, tests and the soon to be dual foot surgery I know will be very costly.  As soon as I know more I will update!
