Help Shawna kick cancer's ass!!!!
Donation protected
As most of you know, Shawna has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a rare form of bone cancer. It is even more rare for someone as young as Shawna to be diagnosed with this type of cancer. Anyone who knows Shawna, also knows that she is hard-working, tough, loving, generous with her time, compassionate, funny, forgiving, never judgemental, caring, loving, and any other adjective you could ever come up with to describe a most excellent friend, mother, daughter,or sister.
Shawna's first attempt at chemotherapy was not successful and was recently changed over to a new type of chemo which has shown to be so successful that she is on a fast track to her stem cell procedure that will hopefully place her into remission. She has been told that this cancer is not curable, but is treatable, and Shawna is bound and determined to fight and win this battle.
In order for Shawna to win this battle she will need to go up to Seattle to work with a world-renowned oncologist who is ready to help her fight. It is expected that she will need to stay in Seattle for at least two months which is not including incidental visits before and after. During this time she will be placed on very strenuous chemotherapy that will rid her body of any trace of cancerous cells in order to prepare her for her new healthy stem cells. This will be a difficult time for her and the last thing she needs to worry about is money. I would like to help Shawna in any way I can and I hope you feel the same.
My wish is for everyone to donate to help Shawna pay for her long stay in Seattle and for anything else that she might need during this difficult time. With that in mind, give what you can and copy this link to every social media outlet you can think of and keep it going. The more people that learn about Shawna, the more people there will be that may help. Remember, you can give more than once!
Last but certainly not least, let's remember to keep Shawna, Gatlin, Taylor, and her family in our prayers.
