Help Shayla and Her Family Battle Cancer

As many of you know, Shayla (33) was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Colon Cancer. At her latest appointment, she confirmed news that it has, in fact, spread to her liver and possibly her lungs.

Her doctor has ordered a PET scan to see if it has spread anywhere else in her body. As of now, the plan is for Shay to start an aggressive treatment plan with 6 months of chemotherapy, along with surgeries on multiple affected areas.

Shay and her family have a long journey ahead of them as they try to keep life as normal as possible for Jack (6) and Beau (4). She unfortunately will not be able to go back to work while her body fights the cancer. Nate’s work schedule at the fire department just changed as well, so he will now be gone for 48 hour shifts at a time. They plan to attend as many doctor appointments as they can together, and will need the prayers and support of family and friends during this emotional time.

Please consider giving to the Lanzon family to help ease the burden of this diagnosis. All financial donations will be going to Shay’s medical treatments (both conventional and holistic- not covered by insurance), healing methods to support her body during chemo, strict dietary/lifestyle changes, and to help supplement their now single income. She has already had multiple procedures in order to receive this diagnosis, and has many more ahead.

Shayla will be on a strict diet rich in whole foods (organic vegetables, fruit, and lean meat) so that her body can work at healing. In lieu of a meal train, we ask that you consider giving to her fund, or providing the family with a grocery gift card to help them purchase the foods she needs to follow her dietary protocol.
