Help Shayna beat Leukemia!
On November 16th we received the news that Shayna has Leukemia. She received her first round of chemotherapy already, which required a 3 week hospital stay. She has her next round scheduled to start on new years eve. With the type of cancer she has (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) she will require a Bone Marrow Transplant, which will reboot her immune system and ultimately cure her. The transplant is being done at OHSU in mid-February and will take her up to a year to recover, with the need of a 24/7 caretaker for the first 100 days after she is released.
The cost of the medical care needed along with missed work to provide whatever care is needed will quickly add up, so any contributions are greatly appreciated!
We aren't really the type of people to ask for money, and I know a lot of you have helped us out already in so many ways, so don't feel pressured to donate. This is mostly made to coincide with the big event being hosted by Horse Brass Pub on January 16th, and offer another means for people to contribute, but feel free to help in any way you feel able to.
