Help Sheena's Family Through This Difficult Time

Friends and Family,

We are so absolutely heartbroken to be in a situation that requires us to ask for your help. Though in the upcoming weeks and foreseeable future you couldn’t imagine how extremely important it will be.

My name is Cortney, and I am starting this GoFund Me for my Aunt Sheena, Sheena Guthrie, and her family in an extremely difficult time. Sheena is an INCREDIBLE woman. I wish I could put together the words that could paint the most accurate picture for you of what it’s like to love her, and to be so fortunate enough to be loved by her. She would give you the clothes off her back, even if it meant she would suffer. She’s an incredible mother to Taylor and Noah who are 13 & 11 and a loving wife to her husband Jason of 17 years. I could never grow tired of talking about this kind and strong woman.

In July 2021, Sheena had a benign brain tumor removed which left her to suffer with an epilepsy disorder and unable to work. On August 21st, another tumor was found located in the right frontal lobe of the brain and spreading across to the left side. This tumor is inoperable. Due to the size and location of the tumor, Sheena’s whole entire body is suffering. She is having trouble walking, and performing day to day activities by herself. She is confused and seems to have trouble understanding what is happening around her. She is at a point that 24/7 care is needed for her as we await biopsy results and treatment plans, which will include either radiation or radiation/chemo to attempt to shrink the tumor so they can remove it, if they can.

Jason has been by her side but has maintained a full time job to support his family. He is at a point that any time off going forward will be unpaid. He has two children that need supported, household bills, medical, food and at the same time caring for his wife and the expenses that will bring.

Money is the one thing none of us should have to worry about at a time like this. This should not be a concern for his family right now. Any help will go towards keeping Jason home with his wife to care for her in this very serious time and not have to worry about food and bills!!
