Sgt Ted Murphy's USMC Final Expenses

Donation protected

On October 17, 2024, Ted Murphy 73 years old, USMC, passed away in Port Orange, VA. He left a number of bills that are more than the income at this time. He spent over 17 days in ICU on a ventilator, in that time Hurricane Milton hit us. His service is going to be in May 2025 as we had him cremated. If you could please help, please give whatever you can any amount will help.

He is a 4 time Vietnam Veteran, who spent 3 tours as a Tunnel Rat and 1 tour as an Armor.

He left behind a house and dog, Layla to Sheila, whom is on worker's comp and ssd and she is in need of help with the payments until she gets her benefits from Social Security disability.

Ted was a certified chimney sweep and owned 3 chimney sweep companies. The last one with his partners Sheila Smith and Paul Luu, was Safer & Warmer Chimney Sweep & Repair of Vienna, Virginia. He was a proud member of the National Chimney Sweep Guild. He had a certification # 0720 which he was very proud of.

He has a number of brothers and sisters, daughters and grandchildren.

His favorite hobby was reading and spoiling not just Layla, his dog, Athena, his grandson's dog and Ruby, Sheila's cat. Everything revolved around the feeding and walking of the dogs. The running joke was he loved the dogs more than anything else in the world. Which really wasn't a joke.

He spent the last 32 years with Sheila and her children and he was their Pawbas, he totally loved being their grandfather. He was proud of each and every one of them. 3 of his grandchildren John (USMC), Rick and Matt (Army) went into the military. The twins Caleb (Kansas Wesleyan University) plays defensive end and Bryanne (University of Missouri) and graduating with 2 degrees this spring. He was so excited every Saturday to watch Caleb play and loved talking to them all.

If you could please help Sheila with the bills can you please help, give what you can and help a veterans family. So that Sheila can also be able to keep the house and also be an to see her daughter graduate this coming spring 2025.
