Help Sherrie Higgins Battle Cancer Costs

My name is Sherrie Higgins. I have been diagnosed with a malignant tumor, and I am reaching out for support to help cover my mounting medical bills.  

I am currently on FMLA leave from my job at the VA (without pay), while undergoing treatment.  My battle involves daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments (Monday through Friday)for approximately 30-treatments, and each treatment has a copay.

I have had CT and PET scans to determine staging and which lymph nodes are involved.

This journey has been tough, not only for myself, but for my husband as well.  My husband is a Desert Storm Veteran, but tells me this is the worst battle he has ever been through, because he can’t take away what is hurting me.  My husband takes me to and from my appointments, which means he is missing 3-4 hours of work each day.  My husband, family and friends are my rock, I couldn’t do this without them. 

The financial burden is overwhelming at this point, and any assistance would mean the world to us during this difficult time.
