Help shine a light on Ramsgate Town Centre this winter

Hi, Im Jess, I run JH Events and am a local event producer and have spent decades delivering community festivals, events, public artworks and light trails across the country. I am teaming up with the Great British Carnival and St George's Church in Ramsgate to create Ramsgate Lumiere: a 6 week festival of illuminated attractions and events for local residents and winter visitors alike.

Ramsgate Lumiere will use a marketing strategy to draw attention to all the great illuminated attractions across the town this winter and will also be professionally producing unique and new events throughout the festival period to help envigorate and elevate our town centre. This will make a significant contribution to Ramsgate’s visitor offer, increasing footfall to the town, supporting our local economy, fostering community ownership, and positioning Ramsgate as a key cultural destination along Kent's Creative Coastline.

Our augural Ramsgate Lumiere events for 2024 will be:

Ramsgate Lumiere will champion the Harbour Boats Illuminations, the Christmas Lights Switch On, Advent Doors, The Christmas Tree Festival and the amazing lights people put on their houses. To name a few.

Ramsgate is an amazing town with so many talented, creative and deeply passionate people who are actively coming together to produce this event. Ramsgate Lumeire is a project created by the community to help support and grow prosperity in our community; to offer entertainment to residents, support local business and bring life and light to the Town Centre. We are seeking funding in our pilot year to help put a rocket underneath our town and aim for the sky, but funding alone wont allow us the finances we need to achieve all of our goals. Our ambition is huge even in this pilot year and we are setting up this crowdfunding campaign to help ensure some of our goals can be reached.

Every penny counts and there really isn't any donation too small.

From workshop materials to lighting rigs, social media marketing to flyer printing, we have a lot of over heads. Supporting us to meet each one of these costs is greatly appreciated.

However, if you can donate more than £50 it will have a huge impact on our work. We have a set of sponsorship/supporters packages that are available if you get in touch at the time of your donation.

Supporters Package / £50-£200:

A donation of between £50-£200 will enable us to produce a community workshop to make a light installation display. You will be listed as a festival supporter in the programme and online.

Donors Package / £201 - £500:

A donation of between £200-£500 will go towards commissioning a specific artist to create a unique light work for one of our windows. You will be listed as a festival supporter as above but can also include any logos for businesses.

Sponsors Package / £501 and £2500:

Local sponsorship is at the heart of enabling Ramsgate Lumiere to build a bigger and better programme of events this winter. We will include your details on the sponsors page of the programme and include any logos on any flyers or print material, as well as create bespoke online posts to promote your sponsorship.

VIP Sponsors Package / £2501 and above:

VIP Sponsorship allows us to grow the ambitions of the festival to create unique, one off installations and events from professional and renowned light and pyrotechnical based artists and production companies. Not only will you be listed as top line Sponsors on all publicity but you will also be invited to a VIP launch event.
