Help Shine get to the World cup

Hi, we are Shine Theatre Arts. Twenty two of our fantastic children have successfully auditioned out of over 3000 entries to represent England at the 2022 Dance World Cup in San Sebastian, Spain, this summer.

 

They've been selected for 5 group dances, 4 solos and 3 duets. Last year we took two of our dancers who competed in solos and duets and brought back 4 gold medal world titles, one silver, a bronze and 6th place. This was a fantastic achievement especially for our small dance school in Greetland, West Yorkshire. This year, we were over the moon to be successful with our groups, allowing us to take 22 of our team to represent our country. We train together 6 days a week from our local church hall in Greetland, and online during lockdown.

 

As the Dance World Cup is not funded by Sport England or the Arts council, all costs are supported by the parents of the children and the Dance School. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school and giving all children equal opportunities. With this in mind, our passionate, determined children are raising as much money as possible to ensure the whole team can participate.
