Help Rebuild the Lives of 6 Families Devastated by Conflict
Donation protected
In the heart of the besieged Gaza Strip, amidst relentless conflict, my family has faced unimaginable losses—our home, our dreams, our well-being, and even our sense of security. This is not just my story; it’s the story of 6 families bound by blood and hardship, each struggling to survive amidst the devastation.
My name is Shirene, and I’m a passionate entrepreneur who once dared to dream of a brighter future through empowerment and education. But what began as a mission to uplift others has now turned into a desperate struggle for survival.
My family, consisting of 6 households—including my parents, 4 married sisters, 1 married brother, and their 8 children—has been displaced 12 times since October. We have faced untold misery in makeshift shelters, escaping relentless bombings that have left us with nothing but the clothes on our backs.
The Harsh Reality of Displacement

Among us is my sister, Shaimaa, a mother of two young children, Haitham (5) and Suzan (4). Shaimaa’s family has endured every kind of displacement imaginable—living in hospitals, warehouses, shared rooms, and even a former chicken coop. Now, they find themselves in tents, moving from one location to another in a desperate search for safety.
Displacement has drained Shaimaa and her family physically and emotionally. The psychological toll is immense, as they struggle to find safe places to stay. They’ve had to pay just to camp on sand, with no clean water or proper sanitation. Her children suffer from skin rashes and the loss of their childhood innocence. Each move leaves them more exhausted and broken.

In the midst of this chaos, my niece Yumna, just seven months old, brings a glimmer of hope with her infectious smile. But alongside her joy, there’s a profound concern for my sister’s son, Yasin, who is battling serious health issues without access to vital medical care.

Every day is a stark reminder of the harsh realities we face—poor sanitary conditions, food scarcity, and urgent medical needs for the children. The destruction of our home shattered our sense of security, leaving us grappling with the grim reality of survival in Gaza.

How Your Support Will Help
This campaign is a call for support to help us rebuild our lives and provide the basic necessities for survival. Your contribution will directly impact 6 families, providing:
1. Shelter and Basics: With our homes and belongings lost to the bombings, we urgently need assistance to cover basic needs like food, shelter, and possibly a new house.
2. Urgent Medical Treatment: Two of our children require immediate medical attention for serious conditions, and my mother, who has diabetes, urgently needs surgery for a hernia. Your support could save their lives.
3. Evacuation from Gaza: Your generosity will help us rebuild our lives in a new place, offering hope for a brighter future away from the horrors of conflict.
As you read through our journey and learn about my startup, Arabic Mate, I invite you to join hands with us in turning our nightmare into a story of empowerment. Together, we can rewrite the narrative of despair and create a future filled with hope and opportunity.
