Help Shirley after Devastating Fire

Hi, my name is Elisabeth. Today, at 10am Thanksgiving morning my grandmother, Shirley Perrigo's apartment burned down. She is 76 and made it out with the clothes on her back and her loving dog. Unfortunately, her apartment had sustained significant damage. The ceiling had collapsed and there's significant water soaked debris, fire, and smoke damage. She was waiting to be picked up by my family to join us for Thanksgiving dinner. She went back inside and found the kitchen to be filled with smoke. She immediately went outside with her dog, frantically alerted the neighbors to exit and they called 911. My grandmother is the most caring person I know. She is a great-grandmother to my son and nephew. And on the most thankful day of the year- and so close to Christmas, she has lost everything. While we are extremely thankful that she and everyone in the building made it out okay- the loss is devastating. We are seeking assistance to get her back on her feet. The request is to cover cost of security deposit, first month rent, furniture, clothing, groceries, necessities, etc. She will be starting over with absolutely nothing and anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated.
