Help Shout WSK reach more vulnerable people this summer

At Shout WSK, we support the homeless and vulnerable in our community and we are working to make homelessness in Worthing a thing of the past!
Over the years, our activities have expanded to include:
- collecting surplus food from supermarkets and cafes for food parcels available at our regular Community Fridge sessions,
- running a weekly Sunday breakfast at St Clare's Day Centre,
- opening a cafe on Tarring Road , bringing money into the charity to fund outreach activities, and offering clients a place to gain work experience,
- running an allotment at Chesswood Farm (which supplies our pantry and cafe), and
- in June 2024, opening a new charity shop selling clothing, toys, books and bric-a-brac on Tarring Road.
Our activities are driven by our enthusiastic and committed team of over 60 volunteers, but there is a real financial cost to our activities. If you donate, here is an example of where your money will go:
- obtaining and repairing equipment needed to run our cafe and charity shop (for example, our barista coffee machine and industrial clothes steamer),
- fuel for our van to pick up surplus food from supermarkets and shops,
- vital household items such as bedding and furniture for our clients when they are offered accomodation, and
- food for our Sunday breakfasts.
We have ambitious plans and a real drive to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable in Worthing. Your pennies and pounds can help us do that, and no donation is too small!
