Help the Mousa Family Escape Gaza & Receive Medical Aid

Donation protected
Dr. Mohammed Mousa was a fellow classmate and is a dear friend of ours from Gaza. A quiet, observant guy, a caring father of four children (5, 7, 11, and 14 year olds), and a concerned husband. Before he could finish the Master program, he had to return home when his son, Omer, was diagnosed with adult-type hemangioma, a tumor made up of clumped blood vessels inside his head.

The little kid Omer is in constant, severe pain and can barely hear. He was being treated in a specialised hospital in Israel, when the situation in Gaza deteriorated drastically on October 7, 2023. Their house got destroyed by bombs, and they had to evacuate to save their lives. Since then, the family of six has been on the run for their lives with the extremely sick child, forced to live without adequate food or sanitary facilities, facing the risk of starvation, infectious diseases, and death.

We, a team of students, have joined this father’s efforts to get the family to a safe place with proper medical care for Omer. As you must already know, nowhere is safe in Gaza at the moment. That is why we are raising funds to help the family get across the border into Egypt. The border pass to leave Gaza currently costs $12,000 for adult males, $9,000 for adult females, and $2,000 for children under 16 years of age.
In Egypt Omer has the chance to receive the medical care he urgently requires.

We urge you to consider donating to the Mousa family. Additionally, we ask you to share the link to this fundraiser across all possible channels. We are racing against time as the situation in Gaza and Omers medical conditions and the familys overall health are getting more critical by the day.

We also hope to raise money to accommodate the family in Egypt while exploring different possibilities to get Omer the medical treatment he needs.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for donating & for sharing this fundraiser!

Omer (5y.) after treatment, which was stopped when the conflict intensified on 07.10.23.

In the improvised settlements in Rafah, there is a lack of safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, food and medicine, therefore infectious diseases are skyrocketing with no functioning medical facilities left.

This is the tent the family of six shared in Rafah after they had to evacuate from their home, which later got destroyed by shrapnel of an attack near by.

This is what is left from their house in Gaza.

This shows the Mousa family in their home before their house was bombed.
