Help Sidney get better. He’s done his part…

Hello everyone! this is Sidney. He’s been part of our family for 12 years, he has been well loved by neighbours, friends and family. He’s a very sweet boy who is full of love for anybody he meets. Unfortunately Sids been quite poorly recently and the vets weren’t sure what was causing him to take such a turn.

Due to living with my elderly father I decided to take some time off work to sit with Sid during the day to ensure he was getting the medication needed and to hand feed him when he couldn’t eat. Despite all the pain he went through and upset of having to see him so poorly, he has gotten better!

I have put as much money into his health and the veterinary bills as I can however it’s unfortunately just not enough. He’s had antibiotic after antibiotic, blood test, costing me £750 (without his liquid diet, and special food since that’s all he ate during this). After the vet check up we found out Sidney unfortunately needs a tooth extraction… which we was quoted £980!!! (Major extractions) As they believe this is the reason he became unwell in the first place and is causing him pain and discomfort.

As all pet owners will know you’ll do absolutely anything for your beloved pets

and the cost of vet treatments has become extortionate. I honestly cannot believe they could charge such an amount!!

I’ve reached out to numerous charities and haven’t had any luck since I don’t claim benefits.

We’ve reached out to family to help try and raise the amount but it’s just not enough. I’m here to ask anybody who has a fur baby if they’d be able to donate any amount which will all be going towards Sids surgery. I couldn’t bring myself to ask for the full amount so I’ve set the goFund me limit to half. But any help is appreciated.

Sidney will appreciate anything we together can do to raise the rest of the money to get him back to full health! I’m sorry to have to ask you all. Im going to do my best to ensure Sidney gets everything he needs for all he’s done for us throughout the years, since I promised him I would do anything if he pushed through.
