Help Sidney Walk, Run, and Live Fully Again

To know Sidney is to love him. On April 12th, my brother’s life changed in an instant after a car accident that resulted in a leg amputation. It was sudden, devastating, and a moment that none of us were prepared for. While we’re incredibly grateful he’s alive, the reality is that the road ahead is going to be long — physically, emotionally, and financially.
We found out that they weren’t able to save his knee, which makes this journey even more complex. Losing the knee joint significantly limits the types of prosthetics that are typically covered by insurance. And while basic prosthetics help with standing and walking short distances, they don’t allow for the kind of active, independent life he dreams of living again.
My brother is young, strong, and determined to stay active. A talented basketball player, he spent last year living and playing overseas in Germany — chasing his dreams and preparing to go back again this year. His future was full of momentum, opportunity, and promise. The right prosthetic can give him back that freedom. These advanced prosthetics are expensive, and insurance often won’t cover the best options for long-term quality of life.
That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• A high-tech prosthetic leg
• Fittings, adjustments, and socket replacements
• Rehab and physical therapy
• Travel expenses to the best prosthetist or clinic if needed
These funds will directly support his recovery and help him regain confidence, mobility, and the ability to live a full, active life.
If you can give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can’t give right now, sharing this story means just as much.
We believe in his future — and with your help, he can thrive.
With love and gratitude,
