Help Silas on his road to recovery from HUS

Hello friends and family! Here's an update on Silas as of today, August 29th.

Silas has made some small improvements. Tomorrow he is scheduled to have a catheter/central line placed in his chest (a procedure done under anesthesia), hopefully allowing them to go home later in the week. From there he will continue to need dialysis three times a week, in addition to some physical therapy and occupational therapy to help him recover fully.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support for Josh, Katherine, and Silas. Thank you for your prayers and generous gifts, especially as Katherine will continue to be off work for some time caring for Silas while he recovers.

Our 4-year-old nephew Silas recently contracted E.coli, which progressed into a kidney disease called HUS. As a result, there are a lot of unknowns and an extended hospital stay facing our sweet boy and his parents, Josh and Katherine.

Many of you have asked how you can help, so we are putting this GoFundMe together to show support and help offset the medical costs that will add up quickly for them.
