Help Silver Get Gender Affirming Surgery

Silver is a trans-masculine Filipino chef living in Western North Carolina in need of support to receive a life-saving and gender-affirming surgery to masculinize their chest. Silver is an extremely active member in their community and is truly one of the most generous people around, always willing to feed anyone, lend a helping hand, and make everyone around them laugh and smile with all their love and warmth. It's now time that we as a community reciprocate Silver's love and kindness by financially supporting them in getting top surgery. As a chef who is soon to be opening a restaurant, it has been impossible for silver to save money for this surgery, their income has been incredibly inconsistent, and they aren't able to receive any financial support from family, or through insurance. Receiving this surgery would mean so much not only for Silver's physical health, as wearing a binder on a daily basis is extremely negatively impactful on lung capacity, and chest and back health, but it would also mean freedom and happiness beyond measure and mental stability that can only come from receiving this surgery.

The total cost of the surgery out of pocket is $8,000, we're asking for a little extra cushion for travel expenses to and from surgery as well as miscellaneous recovery costs.
