Support Sima in the Aftermath of the Fires
Donation protected
Those of you who have met our mom, aka Auntie Sima, aka Bibi, know that she is a powerhouse, as strong as she is kind and nurturing. After our dad passed in 2003, my mom was forced to start over. She moved to Pacific Palisades to be close to family, and that is where she has lived for the last 20 years. Working as a nurse and taking care of her family - her daughters, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Over the years, she has hosted countless brunches, Christmas eves, dinners, and gatherings for family and friends (and friends of friends). She always opened her home to anyone and everyone who needed it.
On January 7 (her birthday), she, along with her husband, daughter, and grandson, who were staying with her at the time, had minutes to evacuate her home, leaving behind everything save a few items of clothing and important documents. While monetary help cannot replace the countless photos, keepsakes, and memories that were lost so quickly, we hope that your support may make it a bit easier for her to start over.
Thank you for everyone who has reached out and checked in. It means everything.
