Help Simon raise money for ME Association

I am running the Dragons back race, the worlds toughest mountain race!!!
5th - 10th September 2022

 

Six days - 380km

From Conwy Castle to Cardiff Castle, a legendary multi-stage, ultra running journey down the spine of Wales. This is the world’s toughest mountain race.

 

The average daily distance is 63km - that’s >1.5 marathons a day!

 

17,400m Elevation

That’s almost twice the height of Everest! Covering the worlds toughest terrain!

 

 

The reason I have chosen to raise for this cause is because ME has dramatically changed my sisters life and for those around her including family and her 3 children.

 

It has changed her life from being active and ambitious to being unable to work or continue her hobbies leaving her housebound most of the time. Even the smallest exertion can floor her; her joints and muscles ache unbearably; restful sleep eludes her; and ‘brain fog’ clouds even the smallest judgment.

 

There is no known cure for ME, and there is little agreement around what causes it.

 

Money raised by me for the ME Association goes to supporting those diagnosed to better manage, understand and survive their condition. It also supports research investigating the potential causes and treatments for ME.
