Sineads Story
Our beautiful Sinead first become unwell in her teenage years, doctors were baffled as they didn’t know what was causing it.
When Sinead was 19, she was finally diagnosed with a rare liver condition called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). Sinéad remained stable for a number of years under a specialist, but in 2016 she discovered that the disease had progressed and she would need a liver transplant.
17 months later, Sinead was blessed - they had found a donor! So, now aged 24 Sinéad had the transplant she so desperately needed. The transplant was a success and Sinéad started living life to the full. She was truly grateful for the gift she had received from her donor.
Sadly four years later in February 2022, aged just 28, Sinéad was given the devastating news that she has cancer and that it had spread to multiple areas of her body. The cancer is so advanced that there is no cure and any treatment will only prolong her life.
Due to her liver transplant, Sinéad was unable to purchase any critical illness or life insurance cover.
Anyone who knows Sinead knows how brave, courageous, and selfless she is. She would do anything for anyone. It’s unimaginable to think of what she has gone through and continues to go through, especially during what should have been the best years of her life.
Sinead is the beating heart of our friendship group, and at times our anchor. And as her friends, we want to do anything and everything we can to help her.
We are making this plea for help, to give Sinéad the funds she needs to live life, making as many memories as possible, in the time she has left. We are all devastated beyond words and feel utterly helpless. No matter how big or how small, with your help we can help Sinéad live her life to the fullest while she still can.
