Help Sinia Rodriquez and Her Family Fight Cancer
Friends, associates and former associates. In March of this year Sinia Rodriquez who is the wife of our good friend and former long time Constellation Brands team member, Oscar Rodriquez was diagnosed with Stage 2B Breast Cancer.
Oscar and Sinia loved being a part of the renowned but now disbanded North Pacific “Love” Division. Sinia loved and looked forward to the meetings and special events that the wives/significant others were able to attend. She always said "The love division felt like an extended family"
Sinia began her battle with cancer in April with a 12 week session of chemotherapy followed by another 8 week session that started in July. The good news is that the treatments are working and the tumor is showing a reduction in size! The next steps in this journey include an upcoming meeting with their surgeon to determine the type of surgery needed and if a 6 to 8 week session of radiation will also be needed.
Friends, I’ve known Oscar and his family for nearly 20 years and know that there’s nothing more important to him than family.
Since learning of Sinia’s illness Oscar made a commitment to Sinia that the only thing she would need to worry about is to concentrate on beating this cancer! He promised to handle all aspects of everyday life including taking care of their only daughter Melinda. Since March, Oscar has dedicated nearly 100% of his time doing so.
Those of you that know and remember Oscar know he was always willing and wanting to help in anyway he could. He would make everyone laugh with our stand-up comedy routines and was always willing to work with a new salesman and spend “windshield time” to help them better understand the sales process.
I created this page because many of you who have contacted me have asked how you can help.
First, I ask that you pray the Good Lord continues to give them strength, comfort and the peace of mind that it be His will that they overcome this challenge that's been placed in their lives.
Second, I want to extend an invitation for the opportunity to provide monetary support. This would help in offsetting the cost of any unseen medical costs and provide assistance with monthly living expenses.
At first, Oscar and Sinia were not receptive to my offer to create this page in their name however, they’ve truly been humbled throughout the process of battling this cancer and have learned that with faith comes the compassion and blessings of others.
