Help Sir Oliver and Mama Cow with medical care!
Donation protected
Meet Sir Oliver and Mama Cow! These two cuties have been with us since they were very young and we have ensured they were well cared for and very much loved. Unfortunately, back-to-back unexpected health challenges have left us in dire need of support. By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you can make a significant impact and help ensure Sir Oliver and Mama Cow receive the care they need.
Both Sir Oliver and Mama Cow have faced serious health issues within the past month that have required urgent medical attention. On July 10th, Sir Oliver started shaking uncontrollably and had to be rushed to the emergency vet where it was discovered over the course of an almost weeklong stay that he had bacterial prostatitis (basically an infection in his prostate) and a perineal hernia. Cancer was originally suspected but the biopsy came back negative, thankfully. However, between the emergency vet visit and the subsequent surgery, Sir Oliver has run up a medical bill of $10,000. Mama Cow's neurological problems came on suddenly on July 22nd and the bills trying to figure out what is going on with her are at $2,000. We're in a holding pattern with her right now as we can't afford the MRI cost to further diagnose her but she's comfortable and stable at the moment. Anyways, to say this past month has been challenging is an understatement and your support will go a long way to helping us.
To help with this, I'm offering incentives! If you donate $50, you will get a bakers dozen of homemade chocolate chip cookies (and I make a mean chocolate chip cookie - they can be vegan upon request). For $100, I will do a portrait of your pet or loved one. I do this every year as part of the Oakland Animal Services Bad Art fundraiser and I can promise my art is pretty good! If you donate $300 or more, my partner is offering a basic branding package, such as logo design/redesign OR basic pet photography (examples of his work are available).
In conclusion, every dollar counts and we would be immensely grateful for any help you can offer while we sort out this huge financial hit.
