Help Mom and little Sister Selena rebuild their life in Gaza

Hi compassionate souls,

My name is Mahmoud. I am a German Palestinian. I have lived, and worked in Frankfurt for over 10 years now.

I am raising funds on behalf of my sister's family (5 members of her close family - her husband, 2 sons Firas Joud and little daughter Selena, and her extend family father and mother in law, 2 teenagers uncles Mohammed and Ahmed, and 4 aunts Dina, Rola,Shabd and Kefah _ A girl in her twenties with special needs in a wheelchair , in addition to her married brother in law Taher with his wife and their 5 children).

All the family has evacuated from Gaza to the displacement camps in Rafah. There, they are being asked for substantial amounts of money to allow them to exit through the Rafah crossing.

My sister is an Archetict instructor and her husband Ali is a civil engineer, They are trapped in Gaza, living in tents with the bare minimum of access to water, food or the minimum basic needs.

I feel shamed that I am living a privileged life here in Germany, while her family is at risk of dying at any second, if not from bombs, it will be from starvation, dehydration or disease.

Unfortunately they are trapped in Gaza as they don’t have foreign citizenship like me. They are not permitted to pass through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt.

Fortunately, they are a tightly knit family like other Gaza families. Neither my sisyer nor her husbsnd can leave any of their family members alone to die there in Gaza.

How the funds will be used

The cost of $96,000-detailed later_ just to exit through the Rafah crossing is too much for me. Without any additional expenses for staying in Egypt until finding a solution."

Neither I nor them can afford these amounts. They are only trying to leave Rafah to escape the war, or more precisely, imminent death.

Shamefully,I have not granted any assistance to citizens in my position to evacuate their families as is similar in other war zones, so they are trapped refugees.

I have pleaded with Many officials and international institutions to assist in evacuating them, but all has fallen on deaf ears.

Embarrassingly, the only glimmer of hope is to plead with you to fund them so that the money is used to pay a travel agency located in Egypt to assist them crossing into and resettling in Egypt, into safety. I would have never envisaged myself crowd funding for such a solution, but I wouldn't forgive myself for not doing everything and anything possible or imaginable to save their lives and get them into safety.
