I need Help
I recently found out that I have contracted end stage renal disease. This qualified me for Disability Insurance but this insurance does not cover my costly medications. I have Healthfirst however; this is the third health care plan I have switched to that does not cover most of my life-saving medications. The meds I currently need to survive are:
Prescriptions
Paricalcitol (Zemplar),
Calcitriol (Rocaltrol)
Erythropoietin by injection,
Darbepoetin alfa by injection
Bumetanide by injection,
Furosemide (Lasix)
Sevelamer (Renvela),
Ergocalciferol (Drisdol),
Cinacalcet
Over-the-Counter
Calcium carbonate, Iron supplement
The purpose of this campaign is to obtain funds for medicine that I need to stay alive which costs upwards of $2000 per 30- day prescription out-of-pocket. The only other option for me is to spend my remaining days in a hospital or nursing facility where my medications will be included. This is not a life. Please consider helping me.
