Help Six-Year-Old Basset Hound, Remi, Fight Cancer

Hey everyone, we're Aurie and Curt-- the Basset Parents to the Long Eared Ladies on Instagram. Our 2 Basset Hounds, Remi (6) and Uzi (5) go everywhere we go and are our entire world. We literally don't spend any time apart from them.
Remi recently had a mass surgically removed from her left behind that was 7x9 cm large. Unfortunately, we were notified by the vet that the tumor was by a rare chance a malignant trichoepithelioma and, although our vet had clean margins, the pathologist suspects the cancer has potentially gone vascular and spread, so we should immediately seek staging.
Remi has her 1st oncology appointment next Tuesday to run a multitude of diagnostic tests, including having 2 other bumps on her ribs biopsied. We live in Bakersfield, which means we are going to have to travel 2 hours each way to go to the oncologist office near Los Angeles for testing and will have to continue doing so for further treatments, as our hometown does not have the specialists she'll need.
We have already spent over $1,000 in vet bills in the past month for the procedure and testing of the malignant mass and we are in need of financial support from our community to help us determine how severe Remi's fight against cancer is going to be and we may need help to fund future treatment.
As of right now, we are hoping to raise at least $2,500 to be able to help us complete as much diagnostic testing as necessary to determine if the cancer spread, what stage of cancer she has, where, and the next course of action. We're nervous that we aren't going to be able to afford all of the testing on our own--we are the prime example of why people should get pet insurance. Uzi also has a bump that we are going to have to get biopsied as well. $300 is going to go towards the oncology consult, $50 each time we need to drive to the oncologist, and we have to assume to the necessary testing is going to be anywhere from $500-$5000.
Remi and Uzi are our entire world and we would beyond thankful for any help anyone is able to offer us to give Remi the best chance at living her fullest life. Please keep Remi in your thoughts and any kind or helpful advice on navigating the world of canine cancer is greatly appreciated.
