Help Skate School recover from burglary
Donation protected
On Thursday morning Skate School owner, Joe Lehm, was devastated to find that the front door of his business had been pried open with a crowbar overnight. The thieves took off with thousands of dollars worth of new equipment and many irreplaceable school boards that they use for teaching.
We are raising money to help the school restock the shop, make up lost profits, and rebuild their quiver of teaching boards. Skate School is also accepting donations of used longboards and new and used wheels at this time. They are still open for lessons (virtual and in person) and new sign-ups will also help in this difficult time!
Skate School is a pillar of the New Mexican skate community and Santa Fe at large. It is the only indoor skatepark in the state of New Mexico and they have been teaching lessons, hosting local events, participating in mentorship programs, community outreach, and much more for over 20 years. Skate School is also Santa Fe’s oldest skate shop, and proud to be known for being a small local business
that keeps its pro shop stocked with a wide selection of unique boards, safety gear, and hard-to-find skate equipment. Many travel from all around the world to visit Skate School.
They have done so much for our community, I hope we can all come together to show our support, give back, and help them get back on their feet (and boards).
