Help Skip and his daughters

Hi, I am trying to help an amazing family out during a very unsettling time. Karla and Tracey are traveling 2+ hours daily to be the main support system for their father. They are both currently out of work. Their father is in Boston and as most know it is extremely expensive to stay in hotels down there, just hoping we can rally around them and help them with gas, possibly hotels or any help for them, their father and their families while they are out of work, at this point for an unknown amount of time. Here is a little back story on their journey so far!

On October 16th he (Skip) went in for a scheduled heart bypass surgery in Concord NH. He ended up having a quadruple bypass, but as they finished the surgery all four bypasses failed. They were able to place 7 stents in one of three arteries, placed a temporary pump in his heart and placed him on an ecmo machine to keep him alive. He was then transported to Mass General via Boston Med ground ICU ambulance where he has been in the ICU since. He was finally able to come off sedation this past Sunday, 10/22, after several big setbacks and hurdles. Unfortunately his heart is not functioning on its own and next steps are being weighed and discussed. The doctors have not been able to give much of a timeline, but have said he will be at Mass General for many weeks to come. Best case scenario is that with rest and the temporary pumps doing the work for him he will get enough function back in his heart to need nothing. The most likely scenario is that he will need to go in for another open heart surgery to place an LVAD in his heart. This will come with many more weeks in the ICU, plus many months of recovery and care needed after.
