Rebuilding after loss - A fund for Skylar

Skylar is the only child and sole next of kin of Jessica Vazquez. After the tragic unexpected loss of her mother who was her sole provider, Skylar needs our support to cover the costs of moving, living, and education as she adjusts to a new life in a new state.

Upon transferring, she will be a full-time student at a new school and could use our support to adjust. It was Jessica's dream to watch her daughter come into her independence and blossom and any contributions will ensure the fulfillment of that dream. Evelyn Garcia, Jessica's sister and Skylar's aunt will support Skylar as the full beneficiary of the funds raised.

Jessica's presence was a gift, and her generosity of spirit illuminated the lives of those around her. It is the light she brought to this world that we choose to honor and carry. She was a beloved twin and aunt. She loved her daughter, nieces, and nephews fiercely and relished life with zeal and passion.

Her compassion knew no bounds, as she selflessly extended kindness to everyone she encountered. Jessica's ability to forgive and embrace others with an open joyful heart was truly remarkable, leaving a lasting impact on those who were privileged to call her family and a friend.

In this time of sorrow we find solace in the words of the Bible, which reminds us of Jessica's enduring spirit and the love she shared with the world. We find comfort in Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
