Help Slain Chili's manager family.

I am the cousin of Steve Gudknecht. I am starting this fundraiser page to help with living expenses for the Slain manager of the Chili's restaurant in Dewitt, NY on September 14th, 2018. Chili's has graciously offered to pay for the funeral expenses. We are absolutely grateful to the company for all they have done so far.  This fundraiser is for his 2 surviving children.  The funds will be handled by  Nancy Chappell, Steves Mother, The children's Grandmother on behalf of Steves Children.

Steve was managing the late shift around 1 am at the Chili's restaurant in Dewitt, NY when an ex-employee entered through the back door of the building with a gun and robbed the chili's. Unfortunately, my cousin Steve and another employee of the restaurant Kris Hicks were gunned down in cold blood. My cousin died at the scene and Kris was rushed to the hospital where he also died.  

We all would like to thank everyone in advance for helping out my cousins family as Steve is survived by a 14-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son. they will both now be growing up without Dad.  I will try to find and provide a link to a fundraiser for Kris Hicks if possible.
