Help Slick Celebrate His Epic Half-Court Shot!

On Saturday, February 3rd, in front of a sold-out crowd inside the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, Jeff “Slick” Liner called bank on an epic half-court shot during the Wofford men’s basketball game against Western Carolina. The Terriers would go on to defeat the Catamounts in a thrilling overtime victory, 88-86, and Slick’s half-court shot would be featured on ESPN’s Top 10! It truly was a magical night.

Two airline tickets were the half-court prize, and when asked where he wanted to go, he said he wanted to go to Disney World. In August, Wofford’s favorite superfan has an opportunity to celebrate and relive the magic of that night with Mickey and friends. Slick has never been on an airplane or visited Orlando, and although park tickets, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation were not part of the prize package, a member of our staff has volunteered to take him. With your help, we can send the happiest person we know to the happiest place on Earth and make Slick’s wish come true!

Funds raised will be used to offset the expense of a 3-night, 4-day stay at Disney’s Art of Animation resort, 1-day Magic Kingdom tickets, and an all day adventure at Discovery Cove featuring a Signature Dolphin Swim. Any excess funds beyond the goal will be used towards ground transportation and park incidentals such as food and beverages, character photos, and souvenirs. Excess funds beyond that will be transferred to Jeff’s personal account, which is managed by the Charles Lea Center.
