GFM to cover cost of El Habanero (Logan Square)

Friends and fam--

As you guys might have seen on social media by now, my mom (Lorena's) restaurant was robbed last night. It is important to highlight that this was the second time El Habanero has had a break-in. (The last one happened 11 days ago.) If you have ever experienced having somone take away the things that you worked so hard for...you'll understand the frustration and impotence felt. My mom has worked so hard to establish a sence of community on that little orange place in Logan Square. She has been in El Habanero day in and day out, working before and after business hours to make sure everything is up to her par. Having experienced two break-in's in such a short time has definetely made a dent on my family's pocket. Which is why I am setting a GoFundMe for them--to cover the cost of multiple broken doors, a broken glass window, (2) stolen registers, (2) stolen industrial blenders, tools and speakers. We understand that circumstances may lead others to look for money in times of need. But we are shaken that this has happened after beeing on the corner of Spaulding and Kimball for almost a decade. I speak for my family when I say they will appreciaite any dollar sent their way. Feeling a little crushed and dishearted, but I am sure they'll recover with time.
