Help Smarty Get to the Microcar Museum

Hi, we're Jono and Rebecca and Smarty a.k.a Smart Arses

We're fundraising to get Smarty to the Microcar Museum in Lincolnshire! Since 2019 we've been driving Smarty around the world in an unhinged and (hopefully) inspirational bid to prove that you don't have to be big to achieve big things.

We set off from Scotland in July 2019 and drove to Mongolia as part of the 2019 Mongol Rally, raising over £5,000 for charities close to our hearts. We didn't really expect Smarty to finish the trip or survive the dangerous roads of Central Asia, being a 20-year-old Smart Car.

But he did!

So we set out this summer to be the first people to drive all the way around the world in a Smart Car. On September 5th, Smarty arrived in New York - his final destination. To complete the trip, he carried us 25,000 miles through 27 countries, on some of the world's most dangerous roads.

We are very emotionally attached to Smarty, but sadly, we must be realistic about what to do with him next. We didn't want to sell him, but sadly we can't afford to ship him home to the UK - we have simply spent too much on his repairs, maintenance and upkeep during the trip.

The Microcar Museum in Lincolnshire UK would like to add Smarty to their collection - but we need help to get him there.

Shipping cost estimates we have received are for £1650, which would see Smarty shipped from Baltimore to Portsmouth, where the Microcar Museum will shuttle him to his new home.

If you'd like to see Smarty become part of the history of motoring stupidity, we'd really appreciate any support to get him home.
