Help SMS Theatre Boosters. . . .

Donation protected
2023 marks 25 years since the brutal attack and tragic death of Matthew Shepard. To honor his memory, and the continuing journey towards true equal rights for all, Shawnee Mission South Theatre will present “The Laramie Project” & “Laramie Project: Ten Years Later” as bookends for their ‘23/’24 season, performing both plays in rep April of 2024

Connected to this theme, it is our intent to host guest speakers at SMS throughout the school year, culminating with Matthew’s mother Judy Shepard in the spring of 2024. Judy “draws from her personal tragedy to promote a greater understanding of LGBTQ issues and empower audiences to embrace human dignity and diversity through outreach and advocacy in their own communities.” *

We are launching this GoFundMe to cover expenses connected to these amazing/inspiring speaker presentations.

We invite you to join us on this journey towards acceptance, inclusion and love.

Sincerely,

Shawnee Mission South Theatre Boosters
