Help Sol receive life saving medical care

Donation protected
Update: The results from Sol’s CT showed no evidence of cancer. Sol’s condition is believed to be treatable. The specialist has recommended further investigations are needed to find the cause, so he can be treated. Any contribution, however small, towards the ongoing medical care Sol needs is very gratefully received. We’d also really appreciate if you could keep Sol in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for helping to save our Sol. ♥️

N.b: Please see below for a breakdown of costs. The update on 7.12 also specifies which further investigations are needed.

15.1.22 Our sunshine, 3 year old Sol, is critically ill and was hospitalised with fever of unknown origin. His temperature was 41.6c. Untreated, this causes seizures, organ failure and death.

Tests ruled out FIV, FLV + FIP. There was also no sign of cancer. It is believed Sol’s condition is treatable. However, further investigations are needed to determine the cause, so he can be treated.

Due to being on a low income, I had been eligible for reduced cost treatment in December. But the charity no longer has the resources to continue treating him.

Sol is a fighter, but he needs ongoing medical care privately.
This includes:
 -consultation fees
-specialist care (internal medicine)
 -further tests
-current medication
 -future treatment costs
 -hospital admission
-transport to hospital

Sol also needs life saving supportive care in hospital when his fever spikes, as it causes life threatening complications. Sol has suffered seizures resulting from this. Daily inpatient costs build up very quickly, at up to £500 a day.

So I am asking for donations to continue to get Sol the life saving medical care he needs. I would be grateful for any contribution at all, however small.

If you are not able to make a financial contribution, you can help us by Sharing this GoFundMe, and keeping Sol in your thoughts and prayers.

Sol is shy but affectionate, and a gentle soul. He continues to be happy and bright, despite his illness. He enjoys every day, and has never lost his fighting spirit.

Sol is not just a pet, he is a member of our family. He is only 3 years old. We are devastated, and our hearts are broken.

Thank you for giving Sol a chance to live.♥️
