My name is Soma Shadi Hammad, newborn from Gazza (Palestine). I was born 2 months after the beginning of the war on 2/12/2023 in Nasser hospital, where my mom worked as a volunteer doctor beneath the Sounds of violent bombing and power outages. After just two days of delivery, I woke up to the sounds of terrifying explosions and displaced with my mother away from our home, which was destroyed. I became homeless before I got one. Then, at the age of a month, I was displaced again with my mother to escape death after a bloody night of indiscriminate bombing, violent siege, and tank bullets. I cried a lot in the arms of my mother, who ran distances to save me. The journey of death has not ended. Now I live inside a small tent, suffering from extreme cold, harmful insects, and infectious diseases. My little body could no longer tolerate the cold and the lack of food and medicine. Finding a box of formula milk and diapers is a difficult and expensive task. Many of my child friends lost their lives and I fear that I will suffer the same fate. I dream of a warm bed, sufficient food, and a safe environment, so help me to get out of the scorched land of death. My mother tried to save me a lot. And now I need you to save us, My mother and I are together, so that my mother can travel to complete her medical specialty and provide me with full care.
